How we handle your information
BrandForge Marketing is a sole proprietorship based in Randpark Ridge, Johannesburg. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
What we collect
When you use our contact form, an intake form or our onboarding form, we collect what you choose to send us: for example your name, business name, phone number, email address, details about your business and any files you upload. When we contact businesses about our services, we use business contact details that are publicly listed, such as on a business's own listing or social media page.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a free preview or quote, and, if you become a client, to deliver and invoice our services. We don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers, who only process information to provide their service to us:
- Netlify hosts this website and processes our website forms.
- Google (Gmail, Google Forms, Sheets and Drive) for email, intake forms and client files.
- Calendly when you book a call with us.
- Xero for quotes and invoices.
Some of these providers store information on servers outside South Africa. We only use providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to POPIA.
When we work for you
If we run marketing or automation for your business, your customers' details stay in your own accounts (for example your email platform, Google or Meta). We only process them on your instructions, under our written agreement, and we never ask for your passwords.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it for the reasons above, or as long as the law requires for business and tax records.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us contacting you. If you ask us not to contact you, we will record that and won't contact you again. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
Contact
To make a request, send us a message through our contact page and we'll respond promptly.
